STEVEN SAYLOR
Photo-realist portrait painter. Works in glazed miniature watercolors.
Born in Munich, Germany in 1948 and living in Dayton, Nevada. "My
studio is near my home," he says, "in a renovated 1868 wooden boxcar.
I heat the studio with wood which I cut on weekends. I paint with
a northwest light standing at my drawing table. The work lies flat.
I put in a five-day week plus a day for riding and family, and a
day for chores."
