"A Shoshoni hunter moves
across a mist shrouded lake at dawn. Suddenly a flock of geese passes
by and is gone ... The fog closes in and he is alone again. My intent
is to create scenes with overwhelming moods predominant. Some are
quiet and mysterious and others melodramatic, but depicting the
universal forces of nature is foremost. The figures and wildlife
are the living elements caught up in it." -George Luther Schelling
